 Not so easy on an ACURA TL, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Draw-Tite 24834 Hitch for Acura TL (Automotive) This hitch seems to be well built and I have no doubt it would support the capacities listed on the instructions (even though my car is not designed to tow anything). I purchased this item to town a Thule bicycle rack for a couple bikes and it has worked well for that. The packaging from Amazon was pretty poor and the first hitch I received was missing the draw bar and all the mounting hardware. Once I got a replacement, I figured out why that stuff was missing. The mounting hardware and the draw bar were attached with tape to the hitch itself, so my guess is that the parts from the first hitch were lost during transit. Amazon should do a better job on packaging heavy items. Mounting was somewhat easy. The main problem was that the wholes on the Acura frame where you should insert the spacers and the bolts were not large enough, so a bit of drilling is required. Fits Acura TSX, Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Draw-Tite 24834 Hitch for Acura TL (Automotive) The hitch fit perfectly and the instructions were not bad. Although it's advertised as a hitch for an Acura RL, it fit my Acura TSX perfectly (as it's the same model number for both cars) It's very durable and serves it's purpose. It took me about 3 hours, start to finish, to install, due to complications related to the dual exhaust on my TSX. The frame needed to be filed down so I could fit the spacers through the access hole and the exhaust heat shield needed to be trimmed as well. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. |
